Spies among us... OH S***!
Everyone has their own secrets, and every good soul has their own inner demons. But just now I found a report about one guy in particular who has secrets that can jeopardize our country's security!
Tai Shen Kuo, who has been living in the United States since the 1970's, was an owner of Mr. Tai's Restaurant in Louisiana. He often presented himself as anti-communist, according to neighbors and others who knew him from his days as a tennis player at Nichols State University, and also as a generous neighbor and family man living in Uptown New Orleans.
But Kuo also has a darker side. The U.S. citizen from Taiwan and longtime southeast Louisiana resident pleaded guilty today to conspiring to pass American military secrets to the Chinese government.
His contact, U.S Department Defense analyst Gregg William Bergersen, who already plead guilty to a conspiracy charge that carries up to a 10 year prison sentence, cooperates with the federal prosecutors to build a case against Kuo and Yu Xin "Katie" Kang, a 33-year-old Chinese woman who also lived in New Orleans and allegedly served as a conduit of the information Kuo gathered from Bergersen.

My question is: Why would the Chinese government use a Taiwanese to collect intel on our goverment? I mean, there is still tension between China and Taiwan over independent issues from way back in the 40's. Maybe they thought if they sent a Taiwanese, because of the tension, China would not be linked to the conspiracy if the the spy got caught. I dunno. I'm just glad our government found him out, and not a moment too soon.
Maybe he's a Triad O.O
