New Guild, Old Values
As my core members know, our guild at FWN (Fire Wind Nation) is alot different from the old guild, in fact, we're pretty much the opposite from what TVR was. In TVR (Thaiger Nation Takeover), we didn't do custom ranks. In FWN, we do. TVR had only one sole leader. In FWN, there's the possibility of having around three. In TVR, we tried to encourage our members to donate atleast 1k to the bank when possible. In FWN, we don't even charge a fee to join the guild. Even with all the rules and regulations in TVR, it was a kik ass guild. And "kik ass" was my old slogan for describing it.
So in the Fire Wind Nation, I want to go head and bring back some of them rules, and also give you guys a better understanding of our ideologies here, just so we're all on the same page. Hopefully we'll be a stronger and more connected guild, and we'll have more fun playing EO than just dropping money all the time xD.
Pretty much, the only thing I'm wanting to bring back to FWN is our guild mindset. Right now, the only thing that links us all together is the guild chat. And I've seen our memberlist...it's bigger than I thought. But alot of those members are "too young" and don't really interact with us as much as we'd like. Remember in TVR, when we'd meet up at the barbershop, and end up goin to Apo or go training together? Or when we almost started a guild war with URA, all of us had each other's back (we ended up asking PMA and WSP to help us xD)? I'm just saying our guild back then was like a gang, and if you weren't part of the gang, you had no reason to have TVR by your name. We should do more activities as a guild and move as one.
This is my strategy for recruiting: Other guilds just shout and advertise their guilds to recruit. I didn't recruit many of you this way (except you Henry, and maybe others, I forget o.0). I usually went scoutin, and when I saw a name without a tag, I'd try to talk em into joining. In the past, I'd say something like, "You got some good items here, but TVR can get you better things...and so much more" of course sometimes it was b.s but after they joined they started to grow fond of us, so most of them didn't want to leave. And after a short time, they DID get better items and money and all that. Our recruiters should try to apply the same strategy. We're looking for personality, not paperdolls.
We also have a recruitment policy. Like most guilds (supposedly), we don't accept begging, speeding, scamming, or just plain bad morals in our guild. We just don't want others to say, "FWN is a scamming guild" or "People in FWN are not trusted", so TRY to keep a clean image and don't bullshit anyone, will ya?
EO without a guild is kinda boring. Train here. Craft this. Buy and sell. Think up a comeback when some idiot calls you a newb. This 'n that. In this game, you need friends, and friends stick together.
Even if I have no idea what any of you look like o.o
